I started reading ‘Taran Wanderer’, the fourth book of the Chronicles of Prydain series, today. Taran, back at Caer Dallben again, is restless about knowing his true identity by his family. He is called Taran Assistant Pig-Keeper, named in the first book; not Taran son of whoever like Coll, Fflewddur, Eilonwy, and Gwydion. The reason he is so desperate seems to be that he wants to win Eilonwy’s hand for marriage when she returns from her lessons from Queen Teleria. Taran approaches Dallben and reveals these thoughts, and gets permission from him to journey with Gurgi to seek his identity. I finished the AR quizzes for the two books I read before this.
